This one gets me everytime. There is a tale of an old vampire who hasn't seen the light of day since the 18th century when JS Bach was touring the Austrian countryside giving private parlor concerts. Stoic, yet sensitive, the vampire mournfully misses the days of being a mortal and waking up to the radiant morning sun. Eating Count Chocula cereal beside his fair maiden at the breakfast table is now only a faded memory. Sadly now, he is left a depressed creature of the night, tortured and confined to his own private darkness.
lyrics
Chorus:
The Mornings are worse for me now
They used to be so nice
They used to be so nice
Verse 1:
I don't care what you say, I didn't turn and walk away
Won't admit where I've gone wrong, now these days are bored and long
Was I comin on too strong
Or did you plan this all along
But can I sing one last song.......
ooh ooh ooh
Chorus
Verse 2
Still confused as to what was real, now heart ache is all I feel
Thought I stood for what was mine, never thought to read the signs
Could I ever change your mind
Or am I just dumb and blind
but can I kiss you one last time....
ooh ooh ooh
Verse 3:
Nothing said for all these years, I can't see through all these tears
Do you know what you done to me, I hope that one day you will see
Tell your ghost to let me be
I'm worn out and grown weary
I don't know what's come over me.....
ooh ooh ohh
